Emotion = Pathetic

Intention. What do I intend to do? It occurred to me today that the word "pathetic" includes the word "path". Is this the proper origin? "Pathetic" really means to be evocative of emotion. The common use is that pathetic means beneath contempt/to feel sorry for, which is not the correct use of the Latin root. Emotion is why we do things. I want this, so I do this. Intention. What is it you intend to do? What path are you on? Keep this in mind when making your training decisions. Looking at things a little different through the lens of language is why it's there.
